Ugly Sweaters for a Beautiful Cause

Micah

Our team had the privilege of attending the 11th annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Party this year. It was a night filled with laughs, drinks, friends, and some really ugly sweaters. We all had a wonderful time and were able to contribute to Operation Breakthrough in a very fun way.

About the Party

The Ugly Christmas Sweater Party is an annual holiday party in Kansas City, MO geared at raising donations for Operation Breakthrough.

About the Cause

Operation Breakthrough is the largest single-site early education child care and social services facility in the state of Missouri serving over 400 children daily. Operation Breakthrough’s mission is to help children who are living in poverty reach their full potential by providing them a safe, loving, educational environment. They also make great efforts to support and empower the children's families through advocacy, referral services and emergency aid.

This year alone the the Ugly Christmas Sweater Party raised over $20,000. Which brings the all time total to over $200,000 in donations since its inception in 2005. But, it’s not just a wonderful way to contribute to the community, it’s also A LOT of fun!
