NONPROFIT WEBSITE DESIGN AND DIGITAL STRATEGY

Advance Your Mission Online

We work alongside your team to design and build clear, accessible nonprofit websites and connected digital experiences that help people understand the heart of your mission, find what they need, and take action.

Trusted by mission-driven organizations since 2009

Nonprofit Website Design Services

We design and build nonprofit websites that clarify your mission, strengthen key supporter journeys, and give your team a faster, accessible, brand-consistent platform that connects with your CRM, fundraising tools, and reporting.

For established and scaling nonprofits, we also account for the operational realities behind the website: complex stakeholder needs, large-scale content migration, governance and permissions, accessibility, SEO continuity, security, privacy, integrations, analytics, staff training, and long-term support. The result is a platform your team can manage confidently as programs, audiences, and fundraising efforts grow.

Modern Nonprofit Websites Should:

Make it easier for people to understand your mission, find what they need, and take action.

  • Clearer messaging and navigation
  • Accessible, mobile-friendly design
  • Stronger donation, volunteer, event, and program journeys
  • Easier content management
  • Better search, performance, and analytics
  • Integrate with your CRM and systems

Frequently Asked Questions

Choosing the right partner to support your mission is an important decision. We’ve answered some common questions about our process, capabilities, and what your organization can expect when working with TANK.

What types of nonprofit organizations do you work with? We work with established and growing nonprofit organizations across a range of missions, audiences, and operating models. The strongest fit is typically an organization that has outgrown its current website or technology and needs a clearer, more connected digital foundation to support its next stage.
Can you work with a small nonprofit team? Yes. Many nonprofit teams manage marketing alongside fundraising, programs, events, and other responsibilities. We bring a structured process, clear ownership, and practical guidance to keep the project moving without placing the full burden on your internal team. We will also be clear about where your input and approval are needed.
Do we need a large budget to work with TANK? Not necessarily, but we are typically the best fit for nonprofits ready to make a meaningful investment in their website and digital infrastructure. We shape the scope around your priorities, platform needs, internal capabilities, and long-term goals. If everything cannot happen at once, we can help identify the work that will create the strongest foundation and determine what can be phased over time.
Can you work with our existing website or CRM? Yes. We start by evaluating the systems you already use and how well they support your organization. Our team works across platforms including HubSpot, WordPress, Craft CMS, Shopify, and more. We can connect websites with CRM, fundraising, event, ecommerce, and other operational tools. We recommend technology based on what your organization needs now and where it is headed next.
How do you learn about our mission and the communities we serve? Our process begins with strategy. We work with your team to understand your mission, programs, audiences, goals, internal processes, and existing technology. That foundation guides the messaging, website structure, user experience, design, and development so the result reflects your organization rather than relying on generic nonprofit language.
Can you work with our board and other stakeholders? Yes. Nonprofit projects often involve input from leadership, staff, board members, committees, and external partners. We help establish a clear review and approval process early so the right people can contribute without creating unnecessary delays or conflicting direction.
Will we have a dedicated point of contact? Yes. You will have a primary point of contact responsible for coordinating strategy, communication, approvals, and next steps. You will also have access to the broader TANK team through a shared inbox, helping questions reach the right person quickly.
Do we have to use HubSpot? No. HubSpot can be a strong option for nonprofits that want to connect their website, CRM, marketing, automation, and reporting, but it is not required for every project. We also build website-only solutions on other platforms and can help determine which technology provides the right balance of capability, cost, and ease of management.
Can you work with our existing donor management or fundraising platform? Yes. We can work with platforms such as Bloomerang, DonorPerfect, Givebutter, Classy, Neon CRM, and Blackbaud to create a more connected experience between your website and fundraising tools. Depending on the platform’s capabilities, this may include embedded donation forms, branded giving pages, campaign tracking, automated data sharing, or improved reporting. We will evaluate your existing setup and recommend the most practical approach for your team, donors, and budget.
Do you accept requests for proposals (RFPs)? Yes, we review RFPs for nonprofit website, digital strategy, and marketing technology projects. The most helpful RFPs clearly outline your organization’s goals, priorities, expected scope, decision-making process, budget range, and desired timeline. If some of those details are still being determined, we are also happy to have an initial conversation and help identify the right path forward.
What if our team has never managed a website project before? That is completely fine. You do not need to be a website or marketing expert to work with us. We will guide your team through each stage, explain decisions in plain language, and clarify what we need from you along the way. Our process provides structure around strategy, content, design, development, feedback, and launch so your team always understands what is happening and what comes next.
How will you guide us through the website process?

You will have a clear process, a primary point of contact, and defined opportunities to provide input and approve the work. We will guide your team from early strategy and planning through content, design, development, testing, and launch. You will always know what we are working on, what decisions are coming up, and what we need from your organization to keep the project moving.

Can you help with fundraising campaigns and other marketing efforts beyond the website?

Yes. We can continue supporting your organization after launch with campaign strategy and messaging, donor and volunteer engagement, email marketing, landing pages, event promotion, paid media, content, and reporting. We can serve as an extension of your team or provide focused support for the campaigns and initiatives where you need additional expertise or capacity.

Do you provide training for our team?

Yes. We provide practical training so your team feels comfortable managing the website and the tools they will use most often. We tailor the training to your team’s experience level and focus on common tasks such as updating content, creating pages, managing forms, and reviewing performance. We also make sure your team knows when to handle something internally and when to ask us for support.
